Amalgamated Brood

This video below shot by Jim Fisher shows a brood that is surely two or more sets of goslings.

Giant Canada Geese are normally solitary nesters, but parks in cities (like Winnipeg) get semi-colonial nesting.

In those situations, the dominant parents expropriate young from less dominant pairs. Often you can see an age disparity in the young.

This is not common in the truly colonial geese – like Snows and Ross.
