Marked Hen

Jake Parnell took this photo of one of our recently marked hen Canvasbacks at his Minnedosa site. She has a unique code on her nasal saddle (triangle J) so we can see her with the drone, a normal size-7 band (right leg), a color band with a geolocator attached (left leg), and a surgically implanted transmitter in her body cavity.

You might be able to see the black antenna over her tail. This poor girl lost her nest, so we may soon get location data from a molt migrations site.
